Classic M&M Cookies, sweet and a touch salty with colorful M&M’s!

- Baking Parchment Paper

- Handheld Mixer with Beater Attachment
Ingredients
- 2.25 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup butter softened or margarine
- 3/4 cup white sugar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar packed
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 whole eggs
- 2 cups M&M chocolate candies
Instructions
- Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees F
- Cream butter, sugar, brown sugar, vanilla, and salt together in a large mixing bowl.
- Add flour baking powder, and eggs and beat with a mixer or large spoon until it forms a cookie batter.
- Line a baking sheet with foil or baking paper.
- Drop cookies onto the baking sheet in large tablespoons.
- Optionally allow dough to chill for an hour or so.
- Press M&M’s into the top of the cookie balls, pressing them in lightly.
- Bake at 375 degrees F, 9-11 min until golden brown.
- Cool on the baking sheets for about 3 minutes, and then allow to cool off the sheet.
Notes
You can mix half of the M&M’s into the dough, and then press half into the cookie balls. This gives a nice blend of a pretty visual appeal, and thorough chocolate spread inside of the cookie dough.
